Hello! I'm Megan
I am a graduate of the University of Wisconsin- Madison where I studied both Environmental Science and Life Sciences Communication. With this unique set of skills, I have the ability to understand and communicate science to a variety of audiences.
EDUCATION
2016-2019
Bachelor's Degree
The University of Wisconsin- Madison
I received a B.S. in both environmental science and life sciences communication. This gives me a great interdisciplinary background to be able to take complex ideas and communicate them to a nontechnical audience.
2012-2016
High School Diploma
School of Environmental Studies/ Apple Valley High School, Minnesota
I had a very unique experience attending the School of Environmental Studies for the last two years of high school. This school gave me hands-on experiences in environmental research, participating in studies for the city and college publications. It also focused on interdisciplinary learning, which helped me realize the importance of not only understanding science but being able to communicate and relate it to other facets of life.

EXPERIENCE
2017-2019

2017
Environmental Relations Intern

2014- 2017
Climbing Director, Counselor,
Lifeguard, Swim Instructor
YMCA Twin Cities
I held many positions within my time at the YMCA. I learned a lot in all of these positions including leadership and communication. As a lead staff in charge of climbing at Camp St. Croix, I learned how to lead large groups while keeping them safe. Part of my position was leading games for more than 200 and acting as an example figure for campers and counselors. As a swim instructor, I learned how to communicate new information to a range of students, as I taught swimming lessons with students ages ranging from around 5 years old to adults.
